Nutrition Supplements and taking Fruits and Vegetables
One of the tried and true recommendations for a healthy diet is to “eat your fruit and veggies”. Haven’t we all been told that at sometime in our lives? Dietary guidelines recommend we take 5 to 13 servings of fruit and veg a day, yet how many of us have even 3 servings every day?
Lowering the risk of stroke and heart disease can be done with a diet rich in fruit and vegetables. This is what compelling evidence shows. Gastrointestinal health and good vision can also be assisted by eating plenty of certain kinds of fruits and vegetables.
It’s important to eat a good variety as well as lots of them.
While it’s still important to eat fruit and vegetables, high quality nutrition supplements containing the full spectrum of vitamins found in fruit and veggies, can contribute in the same way. Make sure and find out what specific vitamins and minerals are in the nutrition supplements you choose.
