A study indicates that when antioxidant vitamins such as Vitamin E and multivitamins are combined, the incidence of death risk from heart disease, stroke and cardiovascular disease goes down. This study was conducted at the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and compared those people who used antioxidant vitamins only versus the death rate of those persons who used no vitamins at all. It also compared the death rates of persons who used multivitamins in combination iwth vitamin E and other antioxidants.
It was concluded that individuals had a 15 percent lower risk of dying from heart disease, when taking vitamin E and other antioxidants, along with multivitamins, compared to those who took no vitamins at all.
